The Montessori School of Hamilton Book a Tour

Our MontessoriPrograms

Your toughest decision made easy — find your child's classroom, from 8 weeks through 6 years.

A Pathway for Every Child

From a baby's first weeks to a kindergartner's confident independence, every stage at The Montessori School of Hamilton is part of one connected journey. The Infant Program (8 weeks to 18 months) provides security and loving care; the Toddler Program (18 months through 36 months) matches your child's size, pace and curiosity; the Primary Program (three years to six years) prepares each child to excel.

Programs for Every Age and Stage

Infant Program

Fostering Growth • Nurturing Peace • Inspiring Curiosity. Infants thrive in a specially designed, beautiful room with freedom and ample space to move. We follow each infant's individual schedule for sleep, food and nutrition, changing and play development, so care feels secure, loving and unhurried.

Toddler Program

Our tiny tots love this class because it is geared to the size, pace and curiosities of their world. In the Toddler Community Pre-Primary Class, children build confidence with practical-life tasks and become “Masters of their environment” in a well-lit, spacious, beautiful classroom with custom-sized furniture and low shelves.

Primary Program

Preparing each child to excel and develop to their fullest potential spiritually, physically and intellectually. The Primary Casa class Early Childhood is a beautiful, harmonious classroom with an ordered display of sequential learning materials — accessible, inviting and in proper order.

Enrichment Programs

Children are presented with the tools needed to stimulate their inner need to learn how to learn. Enrichment widens that path with even more ways to explore.

Flexible Calendar for Every Program

Infant Program

A consistent, individual rhythm of care continues from the school year into summer.

Toddler Program

The school year sparks discovery; summer keeps curiosity, friendship and movement going strong.

Primary Program

Strong fall-to-spring foundations turn into summer adventures — learning shouldn't take a vacation.

The Montessori Difference

Montessori works because it follows the child, honoring the absorbent mind of the first six years with a prepared environment built for self-directed discovery.

Program Questions, Answered

What age groups do you serve?

Infant Program: 8 weeks to 18 months. Toddler Program: 18 months through 36 months. Primary Program: three years to six years. Enrichment Programs support the inner need to learn how to learn.

What are the program schedules?

Our academic year runs Sept-June, with a Summer Fun session in July and August for every program — so learning continues straight through the year.

Do you follow my infant's own schedule?

Yes — we follow each infant's individual schedule for sleep, food and nutrition, changing and play development, so your baby's natural rhythms guide their day.

Are your teachers Montessori trained?

Yes. Certified teachers and early childhood professionals trained in Montessori education lead the classrooms — with the training to support each child's absorbent mind.

What does the Primary curriculum cover?

The Primary Casa class Early Childhood uses self-directed, hands-on learning, with a curriculum centered around five focus areas with introductions to cultural activities: geography, natural science, art, music and foreign languages.
